(1 Dec 2022 – 30 Nov 2023)  India has the chairmanship of hosting the G20 Summit. The Summit is held annually Under the Leadership of rotating Chairmanship. It is the responsibility of the G20 President to bring all the members together and have a discussion on the global economy. Our Most Honorable Prime Minister Narender Modi welcomed all the members of G20 and it was very successful. According to Saket Gokhale’s ruling Govt spent over 300% of the Summit in the last Union Budget (990cr) but they denied it according to PIB Fact Check this overspending claim is misleading! The Agenda of The G20 Summit is to inter-alia include trade, sustainable development, health, agriculture, energy, environment, climate change, and anti-corruption.

  • The Slogan in India of G20 is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam‘or we can say this the Theme, The meaning of this is ‘The World is one Family’ And also we have seen in the background theme of the G20 Summit is One Earth, One Family, One Future According to g20.mygov.in India.
  • Our Very Respectful Honorable President Droupadi Murmu hosted The G20 Dinner Party at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Totally170 Guest on list were Invited held on saturday opening day of The G20 summit included our honorable Ex-Prime Minister Manmohan singh and all states chief minister of India.
  • There were many minister’s central+States who were invited in The G20 Summit in India.

The G20 was founded on 26 Sep 1999. Befor the G20 it was The G7 Hosted by France 15-17 Nov1975.

  • The G20 Summit Takes Place every Year in the rotating chairmanship.
  • The foremost issues of G20 focused on Trade, Sustainable development, Health, agriculture, Energy, Environment, Climate change, and anti-corruption.
  • The responsibility of the G20 Presidency is to bring together other members.
  • The members of The G20 represent around 85% of the Global GDP, Over 75% of the global trade, and 2/3 of The World Population.
  • A country hosts the G20 Summit once a year.

The 1990s was the decade in which many countries in Asia had to face a financial crisis. This is known as the Asian Financial Crisis.1997 marked the onset of the Asian Financial Crisis.

  • Thailand was the first Country to suffer the effects of the financial crisis in July 1997.
  • Other countries in Southeast Asia were affected by the crisis.
  • The most Crisis-affected countries were South Korea, Indonesia, and Thailand.
  • After The Crisis, Economies in East and South East Asia worked together towards financial stability and better financial Super Vision.
  • Then after several World economic crises, The G20 was founded in 1999.
